　Since its establishment in July 1968, Yokohama Trading Corporation has specialized in trade with the former Soviet Union and, subsequently, Russia. Originally, the company was founded as a public-private partnership trading company, led by the Kanagawa Prefectural Government and the City of Yokohama, with the objective of promoting trade between small and medium-sized enterprises in Kanagawa and the former Soviet Union. In 1992, the year following the dissolution of the Soviet Union, Nippon Suisan Kaisha, Ltd. (Nissui), one of Japan’s leading seafood companies and a long-standing business partner of Yokohama Trading, joined the company’s management. By leveraging the strengths of this partnership with a major seafood company and our extensive expertise in Russian trade, Yokohama Trading steadily expanded its presence in the Russian seafood import market and grew into a company with annual sales exceeding JPY 10 billion.

Yokohama Trading Corporation is a unique company specializing in seafood trade with Russia since its establishment in 1968. While our headquarters are located in Yokohama, we maintain offices in Moscow, Vladivostok, Sakhalin, and Kamchatka, enabling us to procure and distribute seafood products directly from key production regions.

In 1992, we became a member of the Nissui Group, led by Nippon Suisan Kaisha, Ltd. (Nissui), one of the world's leading seafood companies with extensive global operations.

Our dedicated team of young professionals works actively across international markets, utilizing Russian, English, and other languages to source valuable seafood harvested and produced in the rich natural environment of Russia and deliver it to dining tables in Japan and around the world.
